Green Metal Industries casts first billet at KEZAD EAF meltshop (1.2-1.4 Mtpa, domestic scrap)

GMI tapped its first heat and cast its first billet on 1 October at its KEZAD complex, which is designed for 1.2-1.4 Mt a year and fed by local scrap. Its ramp-up adds a large new buyer to the UAE scrap market while exports are restricted.
