China Baowu drafting modernisation roadmap for Sider El Hadjar - DRI + electric furnace route under assessment

Baowu was due to hand Algeria a roadmap by end-September for modernising the El Hadjar complex, possibly adding DRI and electric furnaces and replacing old equipment. Still at assessment stage, but it points to future scrap demand and to dismantling scrap from retired units - one for traders and dismantlers to monitor.
